Description

1956 Topps Mickey Mantle (Gray Back) #135 PSA EX 5. The 1956 MLB season was a fruitful one for New York Yankees star center fielder Mickey Mantle. He turned in one of the most impressive individual campaigns on record: 52 home runs, 130 runs batted in and a batting average of .353. What's more is that he led the American League in each of these categories to not only nab AL MVP honors but score the elusive Triple Crown Award as well. Offered is a 1956 Topps card that provides two looks at the superstar: one handsome headshot partnered with a smaller inset image of him going high to nab a fly ball that was headed for souvenir country. This gray-back example of card #135 from the '56 Topps set is found with great color, good centering and a squeaky clean reverse. Graded PSA EX 5.
