Description

1933 Goudey Lou Gehrig #160 SGC VG-EX 4. Lou Gehrig was, and is, such a respected name within the annals of baseball history. Simply put, he was one of the most productive batters to ever play the game. It would have taken nothing short of a monumental talent to share the spotlight with someone like Babe Ruth; Gehrig more than lived up to that billing. If not for the tragic illness that robbed the world of this humble and gifted individual, Gehrig would have easily eclipsed the 500 home run mark. As it stands, he retired with 493 round-trippers and a lofty .340 batting average. He still holds the American League mark for RBIs in a single season with an astounding 185 in 1931. Offered is a tremendous mid-grade example of Gehrig's 1933 Goudey, card #160. Rated for centering and some corner wear largely confined to the upper right. Color quality is surprisingly nice as are the bright white borders, Graded SGC VG-EX 4.
