1975 Topps Mini Robin Yount Rookie #223 PSA Gem Mint 10. The Topps company wanted to test the hobby market's response to a smaller card. They settled on Topps Mini and these cards measured in at 2 1/4" x 3 1/8" compared to the normal cardboard release. Sold only in Michigan and the West Coast, the packs revealed the same contents as its 1975 big brother. It was bursting with technicolor beauty, dazzling a baseball fanbase during the age of the Big Red Machine, but setting the stage for maddening frustration among collectors in our modern times.Here's why. The full-bleed design of the 1975 Topps issue is so unforgiving of even the slightest mishandling that Gem Mint cards are nearly impossible to locate today. Our offered Topps Mini displays one of the issue's key rookies, celebrating the arrival of a man who would go on to earn membership within the 3,000 Hit Club in 1992, and in the Baseball Hall of Fame seven years after that. Robin Yount provided all twenty seasons of his first-ballot Hall of Fame career to the Milwaukee Brewers. Offered is a flawless rookie from the Mini edition of 1975 Topps baseball.
