"No good! Wide right!"

1990 New York Giants Super Bowl XXV Championship Ring (Strength & Conditioning Coach). The New York Giants' Super Bowl XXV championship run proved that if a team gets hot at the right time nothing is impossible. Despite losing Phil Simms late in the regular season, Jeff Hostetler stepped in and helped lead the team to an upset against San Francisco in the NFL Championship game. The G-Men were heavy underdogs to the 49ers, a team in pursuit of its third straight Lombardi Trophy, but made the right plays down the stretch. The turnaround began when Leonard Marshall drilled Joe Montana and knocked him out of the game in the fourth quarter. A Roger Craig fumble helped set up Matt Bahr's 42-yard field goal as time expired.

Super Bowl XXV was another nail-bitter but the underdogs upset the favored Bills. This time, defensive coordinator Bill Belichick and coach Bill Parcells slowed down the nearly unstoppable Bills no-huddle offense which featured Hall of Famers Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed, James Lofton and Jim Kelly. Old man Ottis Anderson rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown and was named as the game's Most Valuable Player. But the game is best remembered for Scott Norwood's last-second missed field goal that sealed the Giants victory. The Sporting News ranked it as the third-best Super Bowl for its high drama.

This size eleven and a half (11.5) ring was presented to strength and conditioning coach Johnny Parker for his contributions that season. Parker joined Parcells early in his tenure in New York and followed him to New England. Parker was a part of three Super Bowl winning teams. He was so highly thought of that Bobby Knight even brought him in to help his University of Indiana basketball team. The Strength & Conditioning Hall of Fame has a bust in Parker's honor.

"Giants World Champions 1990" surrounds the perimeter. Two diamonds, signifying the team's two Super Bowl triumphs at the time, are centered while smaller diamonds occupy the outside - approximately 1.5 carats of diamonds. One shank has the recipient's name, Giants helmet and team record. The opposite side contains two footballs with the team's Super Bowl wins notated, the Super Bowl score and emblem. "Johnny Parker LGB 10k" are engraved on the inner band. This is the "A" version of the ring, the same format which LT, Parcells, Carson and Bavaro were awarded.

Weight is forty-six grams (46g.). The original ring box display box is included.
