1956 New York Yankees World Championship Ring Presented to First Baseman Bill "Moose" Skowron. The last runs of the 1956 Major League season were delivered by the bat of this man, who sent hundreds of dejected Brooklynites to the Ebbets Field exits when he deposited a seventh inning offering from Bums ace Roger Craig into the left field stands with the bases loaded to put the finishing touch on a nine-to-nothing Game Seven result. Many Yankee historians place this 1956 season, punctuated by Mickey Mantle's Triple Crown and Don Larsen's perfecto, on the short list of the greatest ever executed in pinstripes.

Here's the ultimate symbol of the Mick's "Favorite Summer," issued to one of the most recognizable figures from that 1950's era of peerless dominance. "New York Yankees World Champions" circumnavigates the perimeter of the face of this fourteen karat (14k) gold artifact in raised lettering, surrounding a genuine thirty-five-point diamond inside of a baseball diamond, while each shank provides the classic hat and bat team logo and the year "1956." The interior band is engraved "William J. Skowron Jr." in script and stamped "Balfour 14k." Size ten and a half (10.5). Weight twenty-eight grams (28 g.). Proud wear is apparent, but the ring presents beautifully.

The ring was original released to the collecting public as part of the sale of "The Bill 'Moose' Skowron Collection" in 2014, and is accompanied by a letter of provenance from Moose's daughter. Letter of provenance from daughter of Moose Skowron.
