1909-11 T206 Piedmont 350-460/25 Ty Cobb (Red Portrait) SGC EX-NM+ 6.5. Offered is one of the most highly sought after portrait cards of any player from any release from any era. Cobb is honored four times in the T206 series and although the "Red Portrait" is the most common it is the card that the hobby has most identified the legendary HoFer. This example offers rich, deep colors, clean, white borders and problem free surfaces. Centering is a hairline away from being perfect as is the registration of his iconic portrait. Modest corner tip wear and slight roughness along portions of the top edge exists which is all we can find to account for the technical assessment. A great looking card thanks to precision print registration which can be an issue with this card. The back displays a "Piedmont - 350-460 Subjects" ad with a factory 25 designation.
