1928 James Naismith Original Photograph. The peach baskets aren't being used for hoops but rather for rest and relaxation on this original photograph of basketball founder James Naismith. The offered 8x10" image was captured in 1928 while Naismith served as coach for the University of Kansas. The important figure is instructing two players, one in full uniform. Notice the regulation sized basketball and the earlier version? The reverse a date stamp of "Jan 4 1928," "Photograph from Wide World Photos" (stamp), "James Naismith" (typed) and production notes on the back. Some edge wear (paper loss) present. There are a few creases/surface cracks on the photograph.Auction Info
