Description

1891 Morgan Bulkeley Signed Certificate as Governor of Connecticut. One of the founding fathers of professional baseball, Bulkeley formed the Hartford Dark Blues of the National Association of Professional Baseball Players in 1874, then made that team one of the charter members of the National League two years later. Bulkeley was named first president of that league, earning him induction to the Baseball Hall of Fame on the 1937 ballot.

Here he confirms a prison warden in his role as Governor of Connecticut in 1891. His black fountain pen signature is a gorgeous 8/10 at lower right. Certificate has light folds lines and toning but presents very well, as our catalog imagery should confirm. Dimensions are 11x16". Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
