Description

1968 Topps 3-D Roberto Clemente PSA NM 7. The late 1960s through the early 1970s was a very productive era for Topps, who tested various projects utilizing a wide assortment of treatments and formats to enhance sales. A full two years before Kellogg's picked up the "Xograph" technology that gave cards a 3-Dimensional appearance, Topps test-marketed an extremely limited number of cards of a dozen players, the key subject being Roberto Clemente. The cards are found with a blank back, or with a stamp saying cards are not for resale and return to Visual Panographics, Inc. These cards are found so rarely, it is very likely they never saw any distribution beyond the Topps offices. Beautiful example. Graded PSA NM 7.
