2001 New England Patriots Tom Brady Signed First Start Full Ticket, PSA Authentic & PSA/DNA Auto 10. Years after Lou Gehrig took over first base duties from an ailing Wally Pipp on June 1, 1925 and remained there for the next 2,129 games, Pipp famously joked, "I took the two most expensive aspirin in history." The first overall pick in the 1993 NFL Draft had been the face of the Patriots franchise for nearly a decade before a single play changed the trajectory of two lives, effectively ending Drew Bledsoe's long service to New England and setting his replacement upon a course toward the pinnacle of athletic immortality.

This Game Two ticket would have allowed entry to the game played a week after Bledsoe's injury, thus the first start for back-up QB Tom Brady. At the time this text is written, Brady's tally of NFL starts stands at 301. The Pats would dominate fellow the Indianapolis Colts and Brady's fellow quarterbacking legend Peyton Manning by a final tally of 44-13.

This unused ticket for that first victory en route to Super Bowl glory is assessed as "Authentic" by the experts at PSA, but we can't really spot the reason why it wasn't submitted for a numerical grade--we invite interested bidders to view our enlargeable images online to get a clear sense of condition.
