Description

2004 St. Louis Cardinals National League Championship Ring Presented to Lou Brock from The Lou Brock Collection. Not even the Curse of the Bambino could save the birds from the Red Sox juggernaut, which first shocked the Yankees by surviving a three-games-to-nothing ALCS deficit before sweeping the World Series to end eighty-six years of misery. Consolation prizes don't get much prettier than this, however, presented to Brock for his essential service to the top dogs of the Senior Circuit. A ruby logo bird is offset by a sea of real diamonds on the face, ringed by the words "National League Champions Cardinals." A bold "Brock" appears on left shank above another team logo, while right shank announces "2004, 16th World Series, 105-57." Interior band is stamped "Intergold 14K" and measures to a size nine (9). Minor wear evident. Letter of provenance from Jacqueline Brock.
