Description

1971-73 Byron Beck Game Worn Denver Rockets Jersey. One of the few ABA franchises which were present during all nine seasons of the league's existence, the Denver Rockets/Nuggets were never afraid to rebrand or introduce bold new color schemes and logos. They began with the red/orange Ringsby System, transitioned into a Columbine/gold dribbling rocket before finally arriving at the blue/red/white "Maxie the Miner."

The second of those incarnations is presented here. The road Columbine purple knit jersey sports two-color sewn-on tackle twill identifiers, gold/white ribbed trim and Medalist/Sand-Knit labels in the tail confirming exclusivity and size. Exhibits evidence of wonderous season-long wear including rippled and frayed identifiers. A 6-9 power forward, Byron Beck played with Denver for all nine seasons of the ABA's existence. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
