1974 Al Kaline Signed Detroit Tigers Player's Contract from The Al Kaline Collection -- Final MLB Season! Here we present Mr. Tiger's final Detroit Tigers contract for his twenty-second season in the Major Leagues. In the closing weeks of the season he walked through the doors of the 3,000-Hit Club and closed out his career with 3,007 hits and a lifetime .297 batting averageThis standard six-page "Uniform Player's Contract," which paid Al $103,000 per year in salary/deferments, bears Albert W. Kaline's typed name, address and salary on the first page and is signed on the fourth page by "Albert W. Kaline" and the Detroit Tigers general manager "James A. Campbell" in 10/10 blue ink. The contract exhibits original storage folds but no other issues of note. Letter of provenance from Mark Kaline. Full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
