Unique 1909-11 T206 Sweet Caporal 350-460 Cy Young (Glove Shows) SGC Authentic - Missing Colors Print Oddity. Offered is a unique T206 card featuring Cy Young in his "Glove Shows" pose. Obviously, this card never saw the inside of a cigarette pack. The image is clearly Young but one only sees two colors - Dark Gray and yellow. It was part of the printing process to pair up colors to check for proper registration. The reverse shows a "Sweet Caporal - 350-460 Subjects" ad and we assume came out of factory 30 as are the others like this in this auction. A wonderful addition to any T2906 collection that offers insight into the printing process featuring one of baseball's greatest pitchers.Auction Info
