Description

1988 Magic Johnson Los Angeles Lakers World Championship Salesman Sample Ring. At the Laker's 1987 victory celebration in downtown L.A., head coach Pat Riley "guaranteed" that his team would win it again in 1988. After a 62-20 season and a seven-game Finals for the ages, which went down to the wire, the guarantee would be stamped "paid in full."

The face of the ring features a larger round CZ diamond atop a purple stone surrounded by a ring of smaller stones and "1988 World Champion Lakers." The sides reports "Back To Back 1987 1988" with the NBA logo and "Johnson, Lakers 4 Pistons 3" with the Lakers logo. The ring weighs thirty-four grams (34 g.) and measures to a size of ten and a half (10.5), with "85A-18263 LGB 10K" stamped in the band. A real beauty!
