1948 Leaf Jackie Robinson Rookie #79 SGC Good+ 2.5. The Jackie Robinson story is one of nobility and perseverance. His pioneering efforts in breaking MLB's longstanding color barrier in 1947 were a grueling trek but one he powered through to pave the way for racial equality in baseball. His capabilities out on the diamond were impressive to say the least. Over 10 seasons of playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Robinson compiled a .313 lifetime batting average and was named a National League All-Star seven times.Presented is Jackie's sought-after 1948 Leaf rookie card, which provides an up-close look at the baseball pioneer sporting his Dodgers cap. This example of card #79 from the '48 Leaf set is rich in color with decent centering and a clean reverse. Some surface wear and worn corners keep this specimen from grading higher. Graded SGC Good+ 2.5.
