Description

1978 John Walton Game Worn Philadelphia Eagles Jersey. Cold weather, heavy white cotton knit jersey displays "11" on the front, back and shoulders, all screened-on in green and silver. Meanwhile, the v-neck collar is trimmed in green, while the sleeves are adorned with green and silver stripes which appear in both a screened-on and ribbed format. The clinchers are the front hand-warming pockets for those brutal cold weather NFC contests. Tags in the tail include a "Russell Athletic 42" manufacturer's label and a "78" year swatch. While the nameplate has been removed, this is still a very attractive period gamer that would serve any Eagles collector well as the perfect bridge between 1960's durenes and 1980's mesh jerseys. Light wear by quarterback John Walton who was one of Ron Jaworski's backups. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
