1965 Philadelphia Football Wax Box with 24 Unopened Packs! We could have been content with offering the wax box from the first Philadelphia edition from 1964 but what fun would that be? We need a worthy back-up. With that, we offer a rare 1965 Philadelphia Gum football box. As with all of these series, unopened packs become available only intermittently and unopened boxes are plain rare. The set includes stars & Hall of Famers like Jim Brown, Mel Renfro Rookie, Paul Warfield Rookie, Mike Ditka, Charley Taylor Rookie, Bart Starr, Paul Krause Rookie, Johnny Unitas, Fran Tarkenton, Dick LeBeau Rookie, Carl Eller Rookie, Bob Lilly, Mick Tingelhoff, Herb Adderley, Ray Nitschke, Don Meredith, Paul Hornung, Merlin Olsen, Jim Taylor, Deacon Jones, Raymond Berry, Sam Huff, Sonny Jurgensen, Forrest Gregg, checklist cards, team cards and "Play" cards featuring the coaches of the NFL. Not to mention many more stars and HoFers not mentioned above.Offered is a 1965 Philadelphia football wax box with 24 unopened packs! This is another first for Heritage Auctions and again, we could not have asked for a nicer example. We can imagine a nicer box existing as this one is virtually mint! A fantastic piece for even the most impressive collection.
