Description
1931 W517 Babe Ruth #20 (Green Variant) SGC VG-EX 4. The 54-card W517 set is an issue of 3" x 4" cards generally found in a sepia color, though other colors like this deep green are known. Babe Ruth is featured on two of the cards. The most valuable card in this issue is presented here, a magnificent photographic portrait of the game's greatest figure assuring that ranking. This hand-cut example has been graded an SGC VG-EX 4 which presents better than the technical grade given. There is a small crease on the border underneath the Yankees team name.
