Description

1954 Wilson Franks Ted Williams PSA NM 7. For a brief span during the spring and summer of 1954, packages of Wilson Franks hot dogs offered what are now highly prized 2-5/8" x 3-3/4" baseball cards, each bearing the likeness of one of the more talented and admired players of the 1950's era. The brief, 24-man roster is spiced up with names like Campanella, Fox and Feller but none generates the reverence and awe of the name Theodore Samuel (Ted) Williams. If you wanted a Ted Williams card in the summer of 1954 your options were limited. Although Topps wisely honored him with both the first and last card of their standard production, legal issues would limit Ted's availability from Bowman, leaving only regionally circulated premiums to provide an opportunity to acquire a card of "Teddy Ballgame." Graded PSA NM 7.
