Description
1965 Topps Embossed Proof Sandy Koufax (Silver Border) #8 - From the Topps Vault. The 1965 Topps Embossed cards, measuring 2 1/8" x 3 1/2," were inserted in packages of that year's Topps Baseball and printed on stock that featured metallic gold foil that displayed an embossed portrait of the specified player. Our offered specimen is unique in that, not only was it created with a silver border (most have a gold border), the portrait of the player, in this case, Sandy Koufax, has not been embossed into the card, which indicates that the piece may have been a production proof. The piece displays some small creases and blemishing along the bottom edge and a 1 1/2" fold within the bottom right 1/3 of the card. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Topps that certifies that it was purchased from The Topps Vault.Auction Info
