1936 Berlin Summer Olympics Torch Lighting Bronze Medal. Rare bronze medal was crafted to mark the lighting of the Olympic flam at Olympia, July 23, 1936. Design by Karl Goetz features nude athlete lighting the flame at Olympia on obverse and hands holding laurel branches within Olympic rings on verso. Diameter 138 mm., weight 560 g.
