2019 Fernando Tatis, Jr. MLB Debut Game Worn & Signed San Diego Padres Rookie Batting Helmet--Photo Matched! The finest piece of game used gear from the nascent career of this two-time Silver Slugger? It would be difficult to argue otherwise. While any uniform piece or bat dating to the rookie campaign of this monumentally talented shortstop would be enormously desirable, it's really only a batting helmet that would see the kind of lengthy and comprehensive term of service this battle-scarred beauty boasts.

Name an offensive highlight from Junior's first season in the Bigs, and this helmet was almost certainly along for the ride. When El Nino went two-for-three on Opening Day of the 2019 season to launch his Major League career, this helmet was there. Four days later, when he launched his first long ball, it joined Tatis for his round-trip trot. Of the twenty-two homers that Tatis struck before an August 13th injury drew a sudden halt to a rookie season for the ages, this helmet was on his head for nineteen, the constellation of scuffs and scrapes a perfect match to photography from those contests. The experts at Sports Investors Authentication confirm all of this information in their letter of provenance.
