1949-50 Bee Hive Tie Clip, Ring and Newspaper Ad. One of the scarcer premiums in the hobby are the rings and tie clips offered by Bee Hive Corn Starch promoted from 1949 to 1951. Today they are objects in enormous demand among hockey enthusiasts. These were originally sold for 25ยข plus product coupons. This presentation features a trio of these collectibles. Includes: 1) A ring featuring legendary Maple Leafs Hall of Fame goaltender Turk Broda. Light scratches seen under magnification. The band has one bend and shows oxidation; 2) An original tie clip featuring Ted Kennedy of the Toronto maple Leafs. Overall excellent with slight spots of oxidation; 3) Large approx 10-1/2" x 18-1/2" newspaper page offering Bee Hive rings and tie clips. "Jan 9/50" in ink and the paper has been laminated for protection. A really fun addition to a hockey collection.Auction Info
