2002 LeBron James Signed First Sports Illustrated Cover with Ticket Stub from Game It Was Signed, CGC 9.6. Sports Illustrated introduced LeBron James to the sporting world by putting the high schooler on the cover of its February 18, 2002 issue. The bold move provided immediate dividends as James went from prep hoopster to national figure.This offering features that famous magazine (subscriber) and was signed by the future king following a District Tournament contest on March 9, 2002. Thankfully, James signed against the image of the basketball and added his number just above. The "vintage" signature rates 10/10 in blue felt tip and is authenticated by PSA/DNA. CGC graded the publication 9.6 with "White Pages." The crease free ticket would have been from just after the SI release. Encapsulated by CGC, 9.6. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
