Description
1967 Topps Test Punch-Outs Mickey Mantle (Aparicio-Stottlemyre) PSA VG 3. This Topps test issue was evidently issued in cello packs in the Maryland area, resulting in an extremely low population, particularly for a Mickey Mantle card. This issue's intended purpose as game cards to be defaced in the course of the fun was the road to its demise from a collecting standpoint. Measuring 2 1/2" x 4 2/3", the cards are printed in black, white, and red. A "team captain" (in this case, Mantle) is pictured on card fronts, with instructions on how to play the game on the reverse. Very few have survived in their original state. Here we present the key card in that set. An exciting find for the Mantle collector who has everything. Graded PSA VG 3. From a total population of nine.
