One of the most important inaugural class Hall of Fame relics ever offered!

1939 Hall of Fame Induction Presentational Watch Fob Presented to Eddie Collins. No American Leaguer stepped on home plate more often during the first great Philadelphia Athletics dynasty than this man, a key member of Connie Mack's fabled "$100,000 Infield." Eddie Collins paced the Junior Circuit in runs scored every year between 1912 and 1914, leaving the City of Brotherly Love with three World Championships. Success would follow the fleet-footed legend to Chicago, where he'd provide essential service to the 1917 World Champion White Sox and the notorious American League Champs of 1919. Collins would properly enter the Baseball Hall of Fame as a member of the inaugural class of 1939, where he remains one of the Dead Ball Era's most effective and decorated representatives.

Here we present an enormously significant relic in the history of both the man it honors, and the grand opening of the fabled institution that welcomed him into baseball immortality in June of 1939. The important presentational jewelry features a remarkably detailed image of the Cooperstown landmark at center, with raised text at the edges of the display reading, "1939 Hall of Fame." Genuine diamonds form the bases of the figural baseball diamond.

Attribution to this iconic figure appears on verso in elegantly engraved text: "Edward T. Collins, Elected 1939 to Baseball Hall of Fame, Cooperstown, N.Y." The diminutive symbol of elite achievement measures three-quarters of a inch (.75") squared and weighs six grams (6 g.). Condition is marvelous, with only slight hints of handling and storage wear.
