Description

1960s Milwaukee Braves Team Security Jacket. Milwaukee County Stadium was a historic ballpark located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, that served as the home of Major League Baseball teams from 1953 to 2000. Originally opened in 1953 for the Milwaukee Braves, the stadium quickly became a symbol of baseball's growing popularity in the Midwest. It was the site of the Braves' successful run in the 1950s, including their 1957 World Series championship, led by stars like Hank Aaron, Eddie Mathews, and Warren Spahn.

After the Braves moved to Atlanta in 1966, the stadium became home to the Milwaukee Brewers starting in 1970, following the relocation of the Seattle Pilots. Known for its wide open layout, distinctive "beer barrel" mascot, and passionate fan base, County Stadium hosted several memorable moments, including Nolan Ryan's 300th win and Robin Yount's 3,000th hit.

The ballpark also served as a venue for football, including home games for the Green Bay Packers during parts of the 1950s to early 1990s. County Stadium was replaced by Miller Park (now American Family Field) in 2001 and was demolished in 2001, but it remains a cherished part of Milwaukee's sports history.

Offered is a stadium security jacket worn during the Braves run in Milwaukee. General use wear.
