Description

1997 Houston Astros Team Signed Baseball. The 1997 Houston Astros finished with an 84-78 record, winning the NL Central title-their first division championship since 1986. Managed by Larry Dierker in his debut season, the team combined solid pitching with a potent offense. Jeff Bagwell and Craig Biggio led the lineup, both posting strong all-around seasons, with Biggio scoring 146 runs and Bagwell hitting 43 home runs. The pitching staff featured Darryl Kile, who went 19-7 with a 2.57 ERA, earning an All-Star nod. Despite their regular-season success, the Astros were swept by the Braves in the NLDS, marking the start of several early playoff exits in the late '90s.

Offered is a Rawlings ONL-Coleman baseball signed by thirty-plus members of the squad. Signers include Jeff Bagwell, Craig Biggio, Billy Wagner, Luis Gonzalez, Bobby Abreu, Mike Hampton, Darryl Kile, José Lima, and more. Toning exhibited. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
