Description

1940s Cleveland Indians Tax Receipt Collection. Great group of official documents for 1940s taxes collected from the Cleveland Indians. Many of these deal with Negro League games that were played at the Indians' home stadiums League Park and Cleveland Stadium. These come from a significant time in baseball as the Negro Leagues would soon dissolve after Jackie Robinson's successful breaking of the color barrier in '47. Unique memento that will surely not be duplicated soon on the auction block.
