Description

1935 World Series Program (Chicago) & Game Four Ticket Stub. The sixth time was a charm for the Detroit Tigers, who had never claimed a World Championship despite four previous American League pennants (1907, 1908, 1909, 1934). General Crowder was the winning pitcher this day, October 5, 1934, extending the Tigers' Series lead to three games to one. The program exhibits creasing from having been folded lengthwise but is otherwise quite nice with an unmarked center scorecard. The ticket stub exhibits back damage from scrapbook removal and a bit of creasing but presents well regardless. A fine matched pair, essential to the collection of any serious Motor City baseball fan.
