1955 Bowman Mickey Mantle #202 SGC 50 VG/EX 4. Just as baseball was increasingly being used as a television marketing tool, Bowman decided to capitalize on the nation's growing fascination with the game in the innovative card design they used in 1955. Mickey Mantle and his New York Yankees were one of television's most popular early sporting attractions. This early gum card displays vivid coloring with a clean front and back.
