Description

1966-71 Detroit Red Wings #11 Game Worn Jersey. Here we present top-notch exemplar of the hobby-favorite Detroit Red Wings jersey, this one manufactured by Olympic Sporting Goods in Detroit. The durene knit red gamer shows outstanding signs of game use in the form of several team repairs to the jersey front and sleeves. Heavy material pilling is also found on the garment's front as well as the sleeves, especially the right one. Chest insignia is the familiar winged wheel design. White tackle twill numerals are attached in the form of an "11" on each sleeve as well as the verso. A fine example with exceptional display potential.

While a definitive user for this shirt has not been pinned down, we suspect that it was worn by at least one of two players. Bryan Watson, known as "Bugsy," played 48 games with the Red Wings during the 1966-67 season. The other suspected user of this fine garment is Pete Mahovlich, brother of the Hall of Famer Frank Mahovlich, who played parts of six seasons with the Red Wings.

A must-have for any Hockeytown enthusiast, this beautiful #11 Red Wings shirt has all of the hallmarks of this classic uniform design. Guide Value or Estimate: $1,750 - $2,500.
