Description

1969 N.L.C.S. Game Three Full Tickets Lot of 2 from the Casey Stengel Collection. Plenty of reasons to love this matched pair of tickets, never used and leaving seats one and two of Field Box 65, Row B unoccupied. First, they derive directly from the personal collection of original Mets manager Casey Stengel. Second, this was the very first year of the League Championship Series. And lastly, these tickets were for Game Three of a three-game sweep of the Atlanta Braves, meaning that they were issued for the day the New York Mets earned their first National League pennant. The tickets do show a degree of wear from storage, but nothing that detracts significantly from visual appeal, and certainly not from the incredible historical importance. A letter of provenance from the consignor will attest to the Stengel connection.
