Description

1936 Dizzy Dean & Pepper Martin Signed Baseball. Dating from just two years after the Gashouse Gang planted their Championship flag atop the baseball world, two of its greatest stars conscientiously penned kind sentiments to a friend upon this "The Contracted Professional League" baseball. The Hall of Fame pitcher fills a side panel with the greeting, "To Lew Marley From your Pal 'Dizzy' Dean, Oct. 12, 1936." Directly opposite is the Cardinals All-Star third baseman, who writes, "To My Good Friend Lew Marley, from 'Pepper' Martin." Yankees ace Monte Pearson is the third and final star to check in, penning "To My Old Pal 'Lew," Monte Pearson." Each inscription and signature rates a remarkable 9/10, and the clean, umblemished surfaces of the ball itself further indicate the care given to this precious keepsake over the passing decades. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
