1909-11 T206 Christy Mathewson, Portrait SGC 84 NM 7. In 1936, Christy Mathewson joined Babe Ruth, Honus Wagner, Ty Cobb and Walter Johnson as the first class of baseball Hall of Famers. A distinction that was well earned, considering his career accomplishments included; leading the league in wins four times, leading the league in strikeouts five times, winning 30 or more games four times, pitching four shutouts and ten complete games in World Series competition and winning 373 regular season contests. Apart from a slight difference in centering from top to bottom, this card displays no obvious conditional flaws to speak of and will provide a top-notch exemplar for any collection of HOF tobacco cards.More information about Ty Cobb Sports Player.
