Football Autograph 5 CT. BOB HAYES SIGNED BASEBALLS. Five (5) autographed baseballs from "Bullet" Bob Hayes, the Olympic gold-medal sprinter and Dallas Cowboys star receiver who was once considered the world's fastest man. Hayes, the only man to hold both an Olympic gold medal and a Super Bowl ring, finished his career with 71 TDs and a 20-yard average per catch. In addition to his three trips to the Pro Bowl, Hayes was largely responsible for NFL defenses adopting zone coverages after being unable to deal with him using a man-to-man defense. Many football observers and former players believe Hayes, who passed away in September of 2002, is deserving of Hall of Fame enshrinement. Hayes added the inscription "64 Gold" to three Official Major League (Selig) baseballs and added "Bullet" to the other two OAL (Budig) baseballs.
