1917 World Series Games 1, 2 & 5 Ticket Stub, PSA Fair 1.5 -- Only PSA Example! The 1917 World Series marked a high point for the Chicago White Sox, who defeated the New York Giants in six games to claim their second championship. Led by stars like Eddie Collins, Red Faber, and Shoeless Joe Jackson, the team showcased dominant pitching and timely hitting. It was a moment of triumph and unity before the franchise became engulfed in scandal just two years later. The victory in 1917 would be the last taste of glory for that talented core, as the 1919 Black Sox scandal forever tainted their legacy and cast a long shadow over the team's history.

This ticket format once held stubs for the three games at Comiskey Park, each a victory for the home team. A noteworthy bit of trivia is that the Giants listed legendary Olympian and Pro Football Hall of Famer Jim Thorpe in the starting line-up of Game Five, but when his turn at bat arrived in the top of the first inning he was replaced by left-handed hitter Dave Robertson. It would prove to be Thorpe's only "appearance" in a Fall Classic.

Mirroring that singular status, this specific 1917 World Series ticket format is the only one of its kind in the PSA population. Encapsulated by PSA, Fair 1.5.
