1934 Babe Ruth Signed Tour of Japan Photograph. His New York Yankees years behind him, and only the sad sideshow of a farewell season with the last place Boston Braves ahead, the great Bambino provided his final (and arguably his greatest) gift to the sport of baseball with his participation in the historic 1934 Tour of Japan. No other single endeavor has done so much to expand the reach of our National Pastime, and the journey continues to pay dividends with many international superstars making their marks in the Major Leagues. Artifacts deriving from this voyage across the Pacific hold special appeal to the educated collector, and rightfully so. This was the type of photo Ruth gave away during the Tour, autographed at the bottom with Near Mint strength in this instance.
