1909 T204 Ramly Ed Cicotte PSA Good 2. The Ramly Turkish Cigarettes T204 series consists of 121 cards, each measuring 2" wide by 2.5" high but levee a 10-foot-tall impression. Each unnumbered card features a finely detailed, black-and-white, oval-shaped player portrait surrounded by an ornate, golden metallic trim with the athlete's name, position and team identified within a rectangular area at the lower border. The flowing front design is also embossed which wonderfully emphasizes their allure. The card backs display either a blank back or carry a "Ramly" or "T. T. T." advertisement, with the latter being the scarcest variation.
Offered is a 1909 T204 Ramly Turkish Cigarettes card featuring Eddie Cicotte, infamous pitcher with the 1919 Chicago Black Sox. It was Cicotte's second pitch of the Series that signaled the gamblers the fix was on. Here he is still in happier times with the Boston Red Sox. The presented example boasts the Ramly ad on the reverse. Graded PSA Good 2. Of the twenty-nine total examples found in the PSA Pop Report.
