1905 Philadelphia Athletics Souvenir Silk from The Rube Waddell Collection. The 1905 A's brought Manager Connie Mack his second pennant and featured three Hall of Fame pitchers: Rube Waddell, Eddie Plank, and Chief Bender. That squad was commemorated on a fantastic silk swatch that is available for consideration. Measuring 7.75" x 9.5," this rare survivor features a photographic image of the team in blue. Issued by World Publishing. The silk may have been trimmed, but no additional examples of this particular design could be found for comparison. The condition is very good considering its age and delicate nature with some minor fraying at the edges and very slight staining. A very rare survivor, indeed.
