Vive Lindaman was a right-handed pitcher who made his major-league debut with the Boston Beaneaters in 1906 at age 28 and compiled a 36-60 record with a 2.92 ERA over four seasons. His standout rookie year featured a brilliant 2.43 ERA and 32 complete games despite a 12-23 record on a weak Boston club. After baseball he returned to Iowa, built a successful livestock and dairy business, and passed away in 1927 at age 49.
