Description:
1959 Heinerle Rubrik Pele BVG Fair 1.5 - His Rookie Appearance! NOTE: We have learned there are three issues that do precede this series. One is a magazine insert cut-out which some may or may not consider a true card, one is dated 1958-59 and one is from 1958. That would make this unquestionable card his third of fourth appearance on a card.

American Football generates up to $10 billion dollars annually. Futball as it is known around the globe is an $80 billion dollar industry! With appeal at that level the rookie card of the "Babe Ruth" of the game is certainly its most prized possession with great investment potential. That man is the great soccer legend--Pele! His rookie card is from the 1959 Heinerle Rubrik series from 1959. The German release seems like an unlikely source for the first card of the man who brought soccer into the homes and hearts of millions if not billions worldwide. His regal status contradicts the seemingly small quantity of rookie cards graded by PSA, SGC or Beckett considering the status Pele rightfully enjoys in the soccer community. His rookie appearance is to be considered along with other preeminent card collectibles like Babe Ruth's rookie, Bobby Orr's rookie, Knute Rockne's rookie, Michael Jordan's rookie, etc. How long will it be before another opportunity presents itself to acquire this crowning entry in any collection not limited by the confines of the American borders.
