Johnny Longden Personal Artifacts From Longden Family. Johnny Longden holds the distinction as the only man to win the Kentucky Derby as a jockey and trainer. He won the Triple Crown in 1943 and is considered one of the greatest jockeys to saddle up. Consigned from his family are these heirlooms. Highlighting this treasure-filled lot is a presentation Heuer stop watch which is in working order. "Presented to Johnny Longden May 14 1966 B.C. Jockey Club" is engraved on the reverse. Three similarly fashioned Longden personal trinkets, each sterling silver and decorated with red rubies, include a Ronson lighter, belt buckle and belt tip which add further aesthetic appeal.

Other mementos secured from Longden's estate are: The Longden Legend signed book, Bill Shoemaker signed Santa Anita Park bill, The Longden Legend signed hardcover book, Santa Anita Triple Bend paper weight, The American Triple Crown signed plate with Eddie Arcaro, Longden, Warren Mehertens and artist Fred Stone.
