Description:
1935 The Masters Final Round Spectator's Badge. The crown jewel of an incredible collection of early Masters spectators badges presented within this Signature auction. Experienced Heritage clientele will recall the sister to this badge as it appeared in our August Platinum Night event, its enormous rarity enhanced even further by the autographs of iconic linksman and course founder Bobby Jones and first Masters victor Horton Smith. While this specimen is free of autographs, its enormous collecting appeal remains.

Gene Sarazen and Craig Wood would find themselves tied at 282 strokes after seventy-two holes of play, forcing an exhausting thirty-six hole playoff the next day, from which Sarazen would emerge the victor by five strokes. One suspects that this pass would have gained entry to that playoff round as well, as none could have been printed in its anticipation. The pass presents wonderfully with its original string, and only on close inspection do we find a diagonal fold line and a small degree of toning. Encapsulated by PSA, Authentic.
