Lenox trophy with three handles and original fancy sterling rim. Hand painted in the well-known Lenox green and white, this fine collectible depicts a golfer in cap, white sweater and plus fours addressing his ball. Also featured on this piece are a clubhouse and short golf flag. This rare trophy was manufactured by the Ceramic Art Company in Trenton, New Jersey. Engraved on the inside of the sterling rim is the following, "Won By Ray M. Gilbert - Low Gross - 1926 - Elks Club." Stamped on the bottom is the green CAC (Ceramic Art Company) stamp. Three-inch hairline crack in back. Circa 1898. 6 3/4" h. Minor paint wear, otherwise very good.
