2012 Colin Kaepernick Game Worn, Signed, Inscribed and Unwashed San Francisco 49ers Jersey - Worn Multiple Games, Including 12/30/12 Vs. Arizona (Division Clincher). Every so often you get to witness a paradigm shift in professional sports. It may not always be positive, like the Steroid Age of Major League Baseball, but it's always thrilling to see. The 2012 NFL season provided a decidedly more welcome change to the status quo, as a new breed of quarterback emerged to give defensive coordinators stomach ulcers as they scrambled to find answers to a question that they'd never before been asked. Together with Washington Redskins rookie Robert Griffin III, Colin Kaepernick has redefined the notion of the mobile quarterback. From Fran Tarkenton to Aaron Rodgers, there had long been a class of elite QB's able to buy time in the pocket with agility and elusiveness, but here was a pair with an unprecedented will and ability to venture into the danger that lurked beyond the line of scrimmage.

Presented is a jersey worn in multiple victories during the San Francisco 49ers' 2012 regular season, which includes the team's NFC West-clinching December 20, 2012 home game versus the Arizona Cardinals. In addition, we have determined that Kaepernick wore the jersey during the Niners' December 9, 2012 meeting with the Dolphins, which can be proven due to the outline of the Pro Football Hall of Fame patch on the left chest. It is possible that Kaepernick wore the jersey in other games, which may include his first start, as it shows a good amount of wear, but we can only be 100 percent certain he wore it against the Cards and Phins.

From the team's memorable Super Bowl season, it is one of the only red home Colin Kaepernick jerseys sold publicly, and it comes straight from the young phenom himself. Exhibiting scrapes, dirt, grass, fabric piling and additional wear from battle at Candlestick Park in which the young QB led his squad to victory at least twice, it has the proper "Nike [size] 42" tag is in the collar (serial number: 219110012630"), while Kaepernick has signed the back in perfect black sharpie, with the added inscription: "12-30-12 vs. AZ Cards 2 TD Passes 27-13 Win! 2012 NFC WEST CHAMPS!" Letter of provenance from Colin Kaepernick. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autograph). LOA from Heritage Auctions.
