Description:
1995 Jerry Rice Game Worn, Signed San Francisco 49ers Jersey - Worn During Career Reception Record Breaking Game! Not only is Jerry Rice considered one of the best wide receivers in history, but he is quite possibly the greatest NFL player at any position. Also widely recognized as one of the most dedicated figures in all of sports, Rice will forever be remembered for his superior conditioning and route running. One of the most reported examples of his unprecedented workout regiments may be "The Hill", a long steep hill that is two and a half miles up. Rice would sprint across the hill literally every day to make sure he maximized his potential on the field, and had the edge against all opponents.

That "edge" was on full display when Rice put on a Superman cape during the 49ers' final game of the 1995 season versus the Atlanta Falcons. Not only did Rice tally 12 receptions for 153 yards, but this was also the game where he made history by surpassing Art Monk's all-time receptions record. Accompanied with an iron-clad letter of provenance from Rice's cousin Antonio Spencer, it is also signed in faded ink by Rice, and personalized "To Antonio." Exhibiting nice wear throughout, it has sewn-on identifiers on the front, back and sleeves, while no manufacturer's tag is present. One of the most important football jerseys we have offered, it is one of few authentic gamers to hit the auction block from Rice's superb 1995 season. Letter of provenance from Antonio Spencer (Rice's cousin). LOA from J.O. Sports. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
