Description:
1967 Super Bowl I Ticket and Pinback Buttons - Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs. The devoted fan who obtained this stunning trio could have never imagined how huge the Super Bowl would eventually become as an influential force in American pop culture. The annual event's television viewership is amazing, the commercials are intriguing, and winning can immediately propel a player's career into elite status.

Offered here are three pieces that were originally obtained from the Los Angeles Coliseum on January 15, 1967 during the first Super Bowl. We must note that many people believe that the "Big Game" wasn't referred to as the "Super Bowl" until after the first two NFL/AFL championship games, but that is 100 percent incorrect. The fallacy most likely originates from people who have seen the first two Super Bowl programs and tickets (1967 and 1968) being referred to as "World Championship Game." Nevertheless, there are many examples from souvenirs and other artifacts dating to Super Bowl I and showing that it was widely referred to as the "Super Bowl."

Included in the lot is a PSA "Authentic" Super Bowl I ticket stub, extremely rare Chiefs pin/ribbon/plastic helmet combo (NM-MT) and equally as scarce Packers pin/ribbon/plastic helmet combo (EX). Three remarkable artifacts from the historic event that started it all.
