1950's Notre Dame Fighting Irish Game Worn, Dual Signed Leather Helmet - Signed by Hornung and Lattner. Signed by a pair of Notre Dame Heisman Trophy winners of the 1950's, here we present an immaculate tan leather Fighting Irish game-worn helmet. Worn during the magical era of the 1950's and originally obtained from "Brother James" who worked in the Notre Dame athletic department for several years, the "MacGregor H612" is the exact same style as can be seen on countless game photographs from the time period. Exhibiting heavy wear throughout, it presents its original chinstrap, while the manufacturer logo is branded in the front. Signed in Mint black ink by Paul Hornung and Johnny Lattner, the superb lid represents the magical period lead by Irish head coach Frank Leahy. Letter of provenance from Augie's Locker Room, South Bend. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autographs). Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication (autographs).
